Bread tiles 2400 x 720

A huge thanks for a sublime afternoon on Saturday – loved the glorious view, the table setting, the company, the hosts and of course “la piece de resistance’ being the food (and wine too!). You probably already have but I’ll send you a few pics focussing on the food! Check them out here….

All the best

THE ANGEL FISH

Celebrate winter and book to join us for the Chef’s Table Seafood Lunch followed by an overnight stay with one of our gastronomic breakfasts.

Simon’s Town is a great little village to go exploring, there’s False Bay and the beach to walk off the food and lots of little eateries to discover if you still have room for dinner that night.  If you fancy staying in, we have comfy sofas to curl up on and a whole ‘Gourmet Library’ to discover.  Remember to bring your favourite recipe for inclusion into the library.

My home is your home.

SEA CREATURES

Lunch today was a blast – all our guests got to try my Yuzu Balls!

Yuzu looks like a tangerine and tastes similar to a floral lime.  It has three times more vitamin C than a lemon, with a potent juice, which is both citrusy and aromatic.

There’s no Western equivalent – it’s a complex flavour with hints of mandarin, lemon and grapefruit. Yuzu is so flexible it can be used in savoury dishes, matching particularly well with fish, as well as cocktails and desserts.  I use something similar to Agar Agar to molecularly change it into my yuzu balls which are then served in  the ‘Aquarium’ – see our Menu.

My bit of fun with lunch today gave my guests a great tale of gastronomy to head back to Sweden with.
